The Start of Something New

We decided that we are going to try something new. In order to keep up with friends and family, and remember to journal all the fun stuff the girls do we are starting this blog.

So for this week it was pretty eventful. On Wednesday Natalie had her 15 month doctors appointment. She is growing great, on all the charts. She is not delayed anywhere, speech, physically, or anywhere else. So that was good news. She had to have two shoots. It was sad, but she dealt with it very well. She is growing up so fast. Natalie also learned to say grandma, and tickle this week. She is adding new words every day, it is so cute. And now when she wants something, she get our attention and points to it. This really helps us to know exactly what she wants, and eliminates a lot of the screaming. Natalie absolutely LOVES to read. She can have us read the same three books for 20 minutes or more at a times. She is learning so much, and growing up so fast. She helps clean around the house too. She knows how to put her toys away, and loves to help put dishes in/ or take them out of the dishwasher with us. Since we got passes to the pool, she loves to walk down the street and swim in the pool, but her favorite part is going down the butterfly slide. Aunt Sarah took her down the slide at least 30 times on Thursday.

On Friday we went out to run some errands, and on the way to dropping Julianne's birthday present off, our tire blew out. Luckily we were not on a busy road. So we had to pull over change and change the tire. Fortunately it was nice weather, no rain, and not too humid. After we changed the tire we went over to take the present to Julianne, and they watched Natalie for us while we went to get a new tire. We ended up changing two of the tires that way all four are new with in the last few months. Needless to say Josh feels a lot safer driving with all new tires.

Update for Josh and I. We are both going full-time at school. That is keeping us plenty busy. We both got on the Dean's list again for the spring quarter. Josh is doing very well at work. In May Josh received the Eclipse Award, which meant he got above all of the expected stats at work. =) He got a new boss too, that makes it a lot nicer for when he goes to work. As for me and my tummy...I can definitely see a change week to week. My doctor says that she is growing very well. She is breech right now, so hopefully she will turn in these last few weeks. She loves to kick and squirm, but unfortunately the hardest ones are at night. She has gotten big enough that they wake me up now. But, I love waking up to a little baby kicking my tummy! =) We have rearranged the girls room, and set up the bassinet in our room. A max of 6 more weeks until she makes her big arrival. Josh and I are very excited, and can't wait to see her. Natalie will now give my tummy a kiss when we talk about the baby. It is so precious. On Wednesday, Christopher was able to feel my tummy when the baby had the hiccups. When he took his hand off he looked at me and said, "Emily, tomorrow I am going to have the hiccups like the baby." It was so cute.

Well that's pretty much the update for this week. We'll see what this next week brings! =)
